How We Helped a Venture Studio Align 10 Brands with Strategic Copywireframes

Punched Group × Ecosystem Copywire™ Building a scalable content system for a multi-brand venture studio.

Client background

Punched Group is a fast-growing F&B tech venture studio founded by George Padin, building and scaling multiple startups across F&B tech, retail, HR, and SaaS.

Under its ecosystem are brands like Punched Coffee, SpendOwl, HRZen, OndaFit, MerchantBee, and several others. Each needed its own distinct identity but with a unified parent brand philosophy.

The challenge? They were scaling faster than their content systems could keep up.

The Challenge

When George first reached out, I was recommended by a designer I’d previously collaborated with on PayPort, one of their fintech products.

At that time, Punched Group had strong visual design talent but no unified process for copy and content creation across their brands.

The team faced three bottlenecks:

  1. Content Bottlenecks in Design: Each new website required placeholder copy that designers filled in later. This lead to time-consuming revisions, rework, and misaligned messaging.
  2. Fragmented Voice Across Brands: Each product had its own tone, making the overall ecosystem feel disconnected.
  3. No Central Framework for Copy: Every site started from scratch—no shared research, strategy, structure, or clear narrative flow.

George wanted a way to standardize and scale copywriting across 10+ ventures—fast, consistent, and aligned with each brand’s market position.

The Solution: Ecosystem Copywire™

I proposed a custom package: 10 website copy wireframes (Copywires), all designed directly in Figma—one for each brand under the Punched ecosystem.

To make it cost-efficient, I offered a tiered pricing structure, and George chose to pay upfront with a 40% discount option for the 10-site package.

This model gave him predictability and allowed me to focus on deep research and strategy per brand.

My Process

Each Copywire followed the Ecosystem Copywire™ workflow:

1. ICP, Competitor, & Market Research

2. Copy Brief

3. Homepage Outline

4. Figma Copywire

5. Feedback and Iteration

6. Designer Handoff

  1. ICP, Competitor, & Market Research
I analyzed each brand’s target audience, competitive landscape, messaging gaps, and tone of voice gaps—from F&B operators to SaaS founders to fitness studio owners.
  2. Copy Brief
Each site received a concise Copy Brief defining its value proposition, tone, and unique narrative angle.
  3. Homepage Outline
Using insights from user behavior and conversion flow studies, I built modular homepage frameworks optimized for storytelling and clarity.
  4. Figma Copywire Creation
Instead of writing in Google Docs, I delivered copy directly in Figma—allowing the design team to see real-world text in context.
  5. Feedback & Iteration
George reviewed each wireframe, left comments, and approved them before handing off to designers.

This process not only streamlined content delivery but also embedded the copy workflow inside their design process—removing silos entirely.

The Results

  • 10 websites completed with unified brand voice
  • Zero bottlenecks between design and copy teams
  • Upfront engagement turned into an ongoing collaboration with George’s ventures
  • Faster turnarounds: each Copywire went from draft to approved wireframe in ~3–5 days
  • Reusability: Punched Group’s internal team now reuses the Copywire structure for new microsites and brand launches

Impact on Punched Group’s Ecosystem

By the end of the project:

  • Punched Group established a shared content design framework across its entire portfolio.
  • They have a plug-in content engine that scaled with our growth—not a one-time project.
  • Designers no longer waited for “final copy”—it was built into the workflow.
  • Each new startup under the ecosystem could launch faster, with a consistent tone and strategic storytelling foundation.

Why It Worked

  1. Integration, not isolation: Copywriting happened inside design, not after it.
  2. Systemic clarity: Every brand used a consistent voice architecture, making the ecosystem feel cohesive.
  3. Operational trust: Clear tiers, upfront pricing, and Figma-based delivery reduced friction and built confidence.
  4. Strategic empathy: Each brand’s copy was grounded in data — audience, competitor, and market insights — not assumptions.

Key takeaways

  • Scalable content systems = scalable growth.
  • Founders don’t need to hire in-house copywriters for every brand—they need a framework.
  • Our Ecosystem Copywire™ works best for multi-brand environments where speed, consistency, and clarity are mission-critical.
