From Framer to WordPress: Building a Scalable Content Foundation

From Framer to WordPress: Building a scalable content foundation for Blue Salmon Solutions with Bits Circle

At Blue Salmon Solutions, we’ve always believed that great design is only the beginning.

When we first launched our site, Brickroad Studios did an incredible job bringing our vision to life with Framer.

The experience was smooth, the visuals were on point, and the design perfectly reflected who we are as a team. That said, as our content marketing efforts grew, we started to hit a wall.

Framer’s CMS, while intuitive for small projects, simply couldn’t keep up with the increasing complexity of our publishing workflow. We needed more control over content relationships, SEO management, and modular templates—things that power long-term scalability.

And we weren’t alone. Many founders and marketers have shared the same pain points: limited nesting, restricted dynamic lists, and little flexibility for advanced content operations.

For an agency like ours that lives and breathes content systems, those limitations were a signal to evolve.

Partnering with Bits Circle

We partnered with Bits Circle, led by Dreb Bitanghol, to manage our migration from Framer to WordPress. What impressed us most was the meticulousness of the process.

Dreb’s team compiled all mockups and components in Figma, audited every interaction, and ensured that all internal links, forms, and responsive elements worked perfectly before launch.

It wasn’t just a technical migration but a thoughtful rebuild. Their team respected the integrity of our design, while preparing the foundation for a more powerful CMS.

The result: a faster, more flexible website that gives us full control over how we publish, track, and optimise content.

Our internal team can now experiment with new content types, automate SEO structures, and integrate analytics—without breaking design consistency.

Why we transferred to WordPress

1. To scale our content marketing system

As our agency grew, so did our need to publish and optimize content quickly. Framer’s CMS made it easy to design, but difficult to manage structured content at scale.

We needed a system that could handle multiple post types, tags, and automated relationships—so our content strategy could evolve without requiring manual workarounds.

WordPress gives us the ability to scale without friction, helping us focus on storytelling, not formatting.

2. To gain full control over SEO and technical performance

User friendly options to customize our SEO meta & appearance

Framer’s CMS abstracts away much of the backend configuration, which is great for speed—but limiting for advanced SEO.

WordPress allows us to control URL structures, metadata, schema markup, and site speed optimization in a way that’s essential for long-term organic growth.

Enhanced our site optimizations and security

It gives us the flexibility to fine-tune every technical layer that influences how we’re discovered and ranked.

3. To integrate better analytics and automation tools

Monitoring how our audience are engaging with our content right within the CMS

Our workflows depend heavily on automation—tracking visitor journeys, connecting CRM systems, and optimizing content performance in real-time. With Framer, integrations were limited or required third-party patches.

In WordPress, we can seamlessly connect tools like Google Search Console, HubSpot, and custom APIs to monitor everything from content engagement to conversion behaviour.

4. To have a full control over how edit content

Full site editing experience for site changes

Our new website is built with full site editing (FSE) capability, which gives our editor team full control over the content and bits of information across the site—may it be the CTA button in the site header or a contact form in our site footer.

We can now visually edit the site content without touching a single code!

5. To future-proof our publishing process

The more projects we take on, the more we need a platform that grows with us.

With WordPress, it’s easy to build reusable templates, automate internal linking, and even launch microsites under the same infrastructure.

Instead of starting from scratch each time, we can replicate and adapt proven frameworks—making every future launch faster, more consistent.

6. To align our tech stack with our long-term growth vision

At Blue Salmon Solutions, we help founders and agencies build systems that scale—and our own website should reflect that philosophy.

Moving to WordPress isn’t just a technical decision; it’s a strategic one. It aligns our platform with the same scalable, flexible architecture we recommend to our clients.

Does the platform matter? Yes.

The tools you use shape how far you can grow.

Framer is fantastic for speed and aesthetics, but when your marketing depends on data-driven content and SEO agility, a scalable CMS like WordPress becomes essential.

It’s not about switching platforms for the sake of it—it’s about aligning your digital infrastructure with your long-term business goals.
